She was amazing through it all, and I am not saying that because she got that from me! I was the nervous one! She was unafraid, and completely cooperative the entire time. She never complained, and was even excited (mainly because she was tired of having the darn thing, and having everyone comment about it!) She happily changed into these cute hospital jammies before they started with the bubble gum anesthesia.

But the funny part was, and with Leah, there is always a funny part, was when she was recovering in the Phase 2 room, she said,
"Mommy, I stayed awake through the whole thing!"
I said, "you did?"
And she said, "Yep, they gave me the bubble gum to smell, then told me to hold the washcloth over my eye for 5 minutes, because they were all done!"
I said , "wow! When did they do the surgery?"
And she said, "that was the surgery!"
So, so funny and cute! When they were waking her up she was a little sad and told the nurses that the only thing that would make her happy was to see her mom. They brought me in and that's when I cried. I was pretty good before that, but it was hard seeing her in recovery. Though, I must say, she is doing so fabulous!

I brought her home, and immediately she ate 2 pieces of toast and an entire can of chicken soup! She has never eaten that much! She hasn't said she is tired, or anything. She has been awake since we returned, now 2 1/2 hours later, and is going strong. You can see the progression in these pics. She is recovering just fine. I am very grateful for friends and family that put us in their thoughts and prayers through this. I know prayers are answered.

I have actually been thinking about you guys today and hoping all went well. Leah has such a fun personality. I'm sure that helps. i loved the comment about staying a wake. Kids are so funny. Let me know if you need anything.
It's a game and who ever is "it" has to write 6 random facts about themselves on their blog and then tag some more people...if they want. For Example: Some one I don't know tagged my friend Heidi. Heidi wrote 6 facts and tagged Jenn (and some other people I don't know). Jenn wrote 6 facts and tagged me and Traci. Traci wrote 6 facts but tagged no one. I wrote 6 facts and tagged you guys. Now it's your turn to write 6 random facts about yourself. Play if you want...no pressure.
You can click on my friends blogs...Traci or Jenn or Heidi...or all of them and look for their post about being tagged. You'll get the idea.
Amy I crazy? My nose started tingling (like the pre-cry feeling) when I saw her in the hospital gown. I think I was picturing my own cutie in the same circumstance and understanding why it would be hard for you. She does look 10x better in the second picture!
You can now click on Autumns blog and my brother Jeff's blog and get more ideas on how this game works.
