Ice Cream, Lieutenant Dan, Ice Cream!

Well, it's official, Elaina is one of us- she LOVES ice cream!! So much in fact, that she refuses to eat off of ours, and insists on her own...hence these photos:

I was so busy last week that I neglected to post about our anniversary.  It was on Wednesday, and not only did Dana have a game, but Alex had practice, so it was just another day. Dana did get me these beautiful white tulips on Thursday to make up for not being home at all on our actual anniversary.  Then on Saturday, we went out to the Olive Garden for dinner while my parents kept the kiddos. It was so nice to be out on a date- we even had time for some summer shopping for ourselves- we didn't buy the crazies a single thing! That NEVER happens, so we are proud of ourselves!

14 years is a long time- but time flies when you are having fun. We had a busy 14th year, with adding Lanie in the family- it has made us so happy and I look forward to many more years.  Love ya, Babe!

Busy Bees

Last week was so busy.  It was such a beautiful week weather wise, so I took advantage of that niceness and started staining the deck.  I worked Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday- for about 3 hours each day- and got the whole railing and spindles and skirting completely done. All that is left is the floor and steps! The job was not nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be.  It really didn't take that much time, either.  I just wish I had more time in clusters to do it, but we moms with little ones have to do according to their schedule! So, I got about an hour and a half twice a day while she napped.  The older kids stained all the skirting, so that was extra helpful! Here are some shots of that, and some shots of my little down time with Lanie outside.

Alex had a game on Thursday- he did really well- got the only RBI and hit that inning, made 5 plays and played 2nd base, which he is new at.  They lost, but he did a great job.

These are so funny- Celeste had a sucker that Elaina got out of her mouth, when Celeste tried to get it back, this is what happened! Such a fun moment to capture!
